The annual Burning River Fest at the Nautica Entertainment Complex on the Cuyahoga River, the family-friendly festival for the environment and water quality. This one-day festival celebrates our local: Environmental Organizations * Green Companies * Musicians * Artisans * Sustainable Farmers * Historic Coast Guard Station & Waterways! The Nautica Entertainment Complex location provides a scenic view of Cleveland’s riverfront and serves as a living exhibit of the river’s environmental and economic impact on our community. Celebrate and support the crown jewels of our region! ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS: "Green" organizations, companies and sponsors will delight attendees of all ages with inspiring, interactive and eco-friendly exhibits and demonstrations. EDUCATIONAL MESSAGE: Environmental education is one of the most important components of Burning River Fest. In addition to the variety of green exhibitors and activities, the area's top experts in environmental matters will take the stage in the popular Eco-Discussion Forum! BOAT EXHIBITS & TOURS: The historic Cleveland fireboat, the Anthony J. Celebrezze, will make an appearance! Eco-tours on the Lake Guardian, the US EPA's largest Great Lakes' research and monitoring vessel, will be available! Educational and scenic boat rides will be available via The Holiday! Save Saturday, August 9 for the tenth anniversary of Taste of Earth. Acclaimed as the highlight of the summer, Taste of Earth is a favored way for friends and neighbors to help perpetuate Crown Point’s mission to demonstrate practical applications of ecology while enjoying the beauty of land and the abundance of harvest. To rejoice in this tenth anniversay of Taste of Earth, tri-chairs Ellen Otto, Cathy Hackney and Susan Flowers have elevated the event offerings. Here is a peek of what they plan for you and your guests: Hors d’oeuvres reception; signature libations, organic wines and local beers; a seated dinner of fine food featuring Crown Point ’s premium. organic vegetables and sizzling, locally-raised chicken — including a vegetarian alternative; live entertainment; eco-friendly silent and oral auctions; and valet parking for your convenience and safety.
