especially a car accident everything can be a confusing and it is
hard to make a right decision, when you are involved at the moment
of accident. Someone are always give a piece of advice about what to
do and a measures to take afterwards. But at the time of accident,
there is no a valid advices that you can understand or remember. And
that is where you need an advice from a Charlotte personal injury
lawyer
, to get some advice.

The most important to remember when you
are in the moment of accident, is to be careful in making you
decision you must be precise and be accurate. You have to remember
that, in behalf of the tension that is extreme you should remain
calm, in that way you can think properly and make a proper decision
regarding the accident. Do not make any rush decision and
testimonies. Always think every words that came out in your mouth,
better yet to wait a Charlotte personal injury lawyer. If you got any
injuries try to stay inside you car until the appropriate help
arrived. If there is an instance that people blamed you about the
accident, always wait for a police, a Charlotte personal injury
lawyer and medical help. If you run away this may be a cause or

A Transportation for Livable Communities Initiative (TLCI) Grant has been granted to Downtown Cleveland Alliance by NOACA to study and plan for infrastructure investments within the Gateway neighborhood, with particular emphasis on bicycle and pedestrian connectivity from Cleveland State University, through the PlayhouseSquare and Historic Gateway neighborhoods, and ultimately to the commuter bike station the City plans to build in the North Gateway garage.

DCA has hired City Architecture as the urban design consultant for the project. Their study will investigate ways to rethink right-of-ways to promote multi-modal transportation choices, enhancing sidewalks, designating bike routes, identifying major connections and prioritizing streets / blocks on which these improvements may occur.

DCA will host its first public forum on this process. We will be discussing current development trends, the existing characteristics of the streets within the study area and preliminary thoughts related to infrastructure improvements that will promote a multi-modal, safe, well-connected system of public spaces. As dedicated neighborhood stakeholders, your input is vital to this process.

Start: 6:15 pm
End: 7:30 pm

In light of trends toward more regionalism and “smart growth” considerations, this seminar will focus on:

•Landmark zoning/land use court decisions and how they influence planners and public officials in making more rational and legal land use and zoning choices. Both practicing planners and attorneys will present and discuss the significance of these cases on such factors as: formulating the comprehensive plan (B.J.Allen vs Congress Township); addressing the shifts in market supply and demand and the impact on development trends (Visconsi vs. Strongsville and Szentpetrey vs. Strongsville); evaluating what constitutes “advancing the public interest” (Jaylin Investments vs. Moreland Hills); understanding the range of land use and zoning choices that are reasonable to consider while protecting private property rights (Shemo vs. Mayfield Heights, et.al.); and

•The techniques and merits of working with developers in resolving potential disputes before they reach court.

Who should attend: elected officials, law directors and land use attorneys, professional and citizen planners, and developers.

Since 1980, aquaculture industries have expanded rapidly in Latin America from Mexican mangroves to the fjords of Patagonia. What this potential revolution in food production means for Latin America's economies and ecosystems is the subject of a fierce debate that revolves around the idea of sustainability: advocates see aquaculture as an industry that reduces pressures on ocean fisheries while creating food, livelihoods, and export revenues. Critics cite marine pollution, the introduction of exotic species, and the creation of hazardous work conditions as major problems. This talk will demonstrate how the interdisciplinary perspectives of environmental history can help us evaluate the promise and peril of aquaculture in Latin America.

Lecture presented by John Soluri, Associate Professor of History at Carnegie Mellon University.

In the face of the sixth mass extinction underway, can ethicists use the idea of species effectively? Species are often seen as fictions, leaving an unrepresentable void in ethical consciousness of our mass extinction of life. This presentation develops a context for the intrinsic value of species, understanding them as pragmatic forms holding on the scale of deep time.

Cleveland Coalition is a civic organization of Clevelanders working to create and sustain a more vibrant, healthy and connected community by building civic imagination, community participation and leadership capacity. Our events allow citizens to participate in policy discussions and empower citizens to take action through our events.

The first event is a three part series called Crooked River Gaming: Weaving the New Casino into Cleveland’s Existing Urban Fabric. The purpose behind the “Crooked River Gaming” event is to help make Cleveland’s new casino a vibrant element of the community. A well-planned casino could have a transformative impact on the city. The Coalition will host discussions and workshops on how this major project can best integrate itself within the existing city fabric. This discussion is not about whether or not casinos should exist. This discussion is about how we can make the casino successful not only for its owner and operator but also for the city of Cleveland.

This is divided into a three part series:
Part I: EDUCATE (March 5, 2010) The videos from the first event are available on our website http://www.clevelandcoalition.org
Part II: COLLABORATE
Part III: ACT

The Part II of this series will be held on April 9th, 2010. This event will have a workshop format and will be held at Cleveland State University's Levin College of Urban Affairs.

EcoWatch is excited to host its second annual Green Gala and bring visionary environmental leader and advocate Robert Kennedy, Jr. to Cleveland.

Robert Kennedy, Jr., son of Senator Robert Kennedy and nephew of President John F. Kennedy, is a staunch defender of the environment and has been named one of TIME magazine’s “Heroes for the Planet.”

He is senior attorney for the Natural Resources Defense Council, chief prosecuting attorney for Riverkeeper, president of Waterkeeper Alliance and co-host of Air America Radio’s Ring of Fire.

“Join us as we explore the power of ecological design to create resilience and beauty in our communities. “

Dates: Feb. 6-7, Feb. 20-21, March 6-7,

Over six weekends, Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon, we will present the internationally recognized curriculum in permaculture design. This course will place a focus on exploring options for developing healthy local food systems, community resilience, and local networks of support. Participants will gain experience with permaculture by developing designs for emerging urban garden projects, installing a demonstration garden and visiting established systems. This course will also include a weekend trip to explore the renowned local food system of Athens county, Ohio.

This course is sponsored by: the Green Triangle Project, Grow Youngstown, Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association, and Habitats Ecological Design.
