10:00am – 2:00pm
Cleveland Metroparks Euclid Creek Reservation – Upper Highland Picnic Area
For nearly 60 years Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) has promoted conservation of land and aquatic resources in a developed environment through stewardship initiatives, education programs, and technical assistance for all landowners. Each year, our agency strives to share our expertise through a variety of programs, events, and site visits.
On September 13th, 2008, Cuyahoga SWCD will hold its Annual Meeting and Conservation Day at the Cleveland Metroparks Euclid Creek Reservation. We invite you to join us for this free, family-friendly educational event featuring featured exhibits by our conservation partners, hands-on activities, fun contests, prizes, a picnic lunch and the annual election of Board members.
Specifically this year, learn about the Euclid Creek Watershed!
• Attend a stream monitoring training session with Dr. Mike Nichols of John Carroll University.
• Take a hike and learn about the exciting benefits of the East Branch Dam Removal Project.
• Visit the Langerdale/Nine Mile Site to see the amazing “green” transformation of a storm water retention basin into a natural wetland area.
We hope you can join us for this free, educational event!
