By encouraging investment to shift from old places to new ones, the state violates property rights of people who own old buildings. In effect, the state is engaged in takings without compensation for loss.
This huge "altenative" craft and DIY fair moves downtown this year as part of the Pop Up City events and installations occupying buildings and activating vacant land in ways that shine a spotlight on some of Cleveland's spectacular but underutilized properties.
This site is inspired by the memory of Richard Shatten, a former board member of EcoCity Cleveland,
who pushed Northeast Ohio to think strategically about regionalism and sustainability.
