The national effort to curb global warming and oil dependence can simultaneously create good jobs, safer streets and healthier communities. That is the chief moral obligation in the 21st century: to build a green economy strong enough to lift people out of poverty.
The 30th Annual Slavic Village Harvest Festival, is a popular ethnic street fair which attracts over 50,000 visitors each year to southeast Cleveland's Warszawa neighborhood. Special events include a pierogi eating contest, the 19th annual Kielbasa Cook-Off and dancing by the Tatra Highlander Polish Folk Dancers. More information
This site is inspired by the memory of Richard Shatten, a former board member of EcoCity Cleveland,
who pushed Northeast Ohio to think strategically about regionalism and sustainability.
