We abuse land because we regard it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect.
Put It On The Ballot Rally—With over 10K signatures already in place, citizen activists with Put It On the Ballot need 40,000+ to put the county sales tax hike on the ballot. Though not opposed to the tax, the Med Mart or the Convention Center, nearly all involved in putitontheballot.com want the ability to vote on something with such broad impact to taxpayers in the community.
