Movies on the Mall This SummerParkWorks announces summer line-up for popular Movies on the Mall Entertainment Series

September 7- Casino Royale @ 8:00 PM

June 29, 2007 – CLEVELAND.   Summertime in Cleveland wouldn’t be complete without ParkWorks’ Movies on the Mall entertainment series. These fun and free films will be played on a 20-foot outdoor screen downtown on Mall B, located off of Lakeside Avenue across from Cleveland City Hall.  A complete schedule of Movies on the Mall events is attached.

The movie series kicks off Thursday, July 12 at 9:15 PM on Mall B with the showing of “Talladega Nights”.  In the coming months, Clevelanders will also be treated to screenings of “Flushed Away,” “Best in Show” and “Casino Royale”.

At all movies, free lawn games will be available for the public.  Anyone can start a pick-up game of bocce ball, badminton or croquet on the malls.  Lawn games can also be utilized anytime during the week by simply checking them out from the Convention Center security desk.

ParkWorks Executive Director Ann Zoller said, “Every great American city can boast of first rate parks and public spaces.  Cleveland is no exception.  The Movies on the Mall series was created to encourage people to use the parks for events or just to play

catch, relax, read a book, walk your dog, or have a picnic.  The malls and parks belong to the residents of Cleveland.  They are a big part of what makes this city a great place to live and work.”

The Movies on the Mall series is made possible through the generosity of The Charter One Foundation, The Cleveland Foundation, The Downtown Cleveland Alliance, The George Gund Foundation, ideastream, The Council of Smaller Enterprises and The Greater Cleveland Partnership, the citizens of Cuyahoga County and the Board of County Commissioners.

ParkWorks is a non-profit organization created in 1977 to lead, promote and

facilitate creative programs and convene civic partners around projects which enhance

the economic strength and quality of life of the Cleveland community through park rehabilitation, recreation opportunities for all citizens, downtown beautification and greenspace development, environmental awareness, citizen engagement and stewardship.
