EVENT INFORMATION

As part of a new series of nature-themed programs, The City Club will host a September 7th panel discussion about offshore wind and how it might be captured to generate renewable energy and spur economic development. The panel discussion was prompted by the recent announcement that Lake Erie Energy Development Corporation (LEEDCo) and GE have agreed to help develop the first offshore freshwater wind farm in North America in the Ohio waters of Lake Erie by late 2012. The panel includes Dr. Lorry Wagner, President, LEEDCo; Rich Reno, Offshore Product Manager, GE; and representatives from other partners involved in this historic wind farm initiative. LEEDCo treasurer/secretary and 20-year energy expert Richard Stuebi will moderate.
