The 26th annual Ohio Prairie Conference, which will be held in Hiram this year. The event moves around the state, and this is the first time it has been in Northeast Ohio for some time. This year's conference, "Prairies for People", will focus on sustainable landscaping and how homeowners and land managers can utilize native species to minimize the use of water and pesticides. It will include sessions on rain gardens, sustainable landscaping, designing with native plants, and a prairie plant introduction course.
