The Atlas is a 5-year project to document the breeding birds of Ohio and to see how the bird populations have fluxuated since the survey was done 20 years ago. Dick and Jean participated in both the 1982-1987 atlas when they found 60 species of birds. They are currently working on the 2006-2010 atlas. Their bird watching is focused on Lake View Cemetery and they have written a booklet about The Breeding Birds of Lake View Cemetery.

You don't have to be a professional birder to participate in the Atlas. If you see a Robin carrying food in your front yard you can enter it into the atlas website if you have field notes of when and where. Bring your data and we can enter it for you.

Free with Museum admission.
