POLAR-PALOOZA: A Celebration of Polar Research

Join guest scientists and Natural History Museum staff for a day of exciting hands-on activities stationed throughout the Museum, sponsored in part by the National Science Foundation and NASA. Meet researchers who live and work in some of the most extreme conditions on the planet. See a 3,000-year-old ice core, touch 230 million year old fossilized wood from Antarctica, and try on some of the cold-weather gear used in the U.S. Antarctic Program. Plus, view a stunning high-definition family-friendly presentation in the auditorium at 2 p.m., followed by a Q&A session with the researchers.

Free with Museum admission, registration not required.
