Research Exploration: Let's Dive into Vernal Pools

Join Phoebe VanZoest, Old Woman Creek education specialist, in an off-trail excursion into the upland woods to explore vernal pools.  Water level and wather permitting, participants will have the opportunity to seine, collect water samples, and assist with the tagging of salamanders.  Ages 10+, those under 18 must be accompanied by parent or guardian. Will go outside in light to moderate rain, thunder will cancel outside portion, clothing: boots, be prepared to be in water up to the knees.  Poison Ivy Alert!
