If I were a young person today looking at a career path, I can't really think of anything more exciting and challenging than what we're experiencing in the world — in the convergence of the end, or the diminishing, of petroleum-based energy sources with the challenge of global warming. It's certainly on a par with the race to the moon.
The City of Cleveland Heights has just released to the public the consultant's report regarding the feasibility of developing the site commonly known as "Top of the Hill." This site is located at the top of Cedar Hill and is bounded by Cedar Road and Euclid Heights Boulevard. Currently much of the site is devoted to surface parking.
The consultant, Allegro Realty Advisors, Ltd., will make two public presentations regarding its findings. For more info.
This site is inspired by the memory of Richard Shatten, a former board member of EcoCity Cleveland,
who pushed Northeast Ohio to think strategically about regionalism and sustainability.
