City of Shaker Heights
jmvshaker Says:Hi Sarah, I work for the City of Shaker Heights. I am not aware of any environmental concerns in Shaker Heights except for the recent discovery of the Emeral Ash Borer in some ash trees to which the City Forester is responding. I would suggest that you connect with Kay Carlson at the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes (216-321-5935). Kay is the Executive Director there and would be happy to answer questions you may have. The Nature Center is also a place that may be of interest to you since you are considering a move to Shaker Heights. The Nature Center hosts very informative environmental town hall meetings and environmental education classes for adults and children. In addition, I would be happy to provide you with relocation materials containing information about Shaker Heights. I would encourage you to visit our website at www.shakeronline.com. Feel free to email me at julie.voyzey@shakeronline.com with other questions. Hope that helps. Julie
