Abbey Avenue proposed ODOT bike accomodation

Abbey Avenue proposed ODOT bike accomodation

(looking Southeast towards Tremont)

Instead of including bike and pedestrian accomodations on the rebuilt innerbelt bridge, at the November 6, 2009 Cleveland Planning Commission meeting, ODOT representatives presented a plan to accomodate bike traffic on Abbey Avenue and West 20th street, connecting to existing bike lanes on the Lorain-Carnegie bridge.

This section of Abbey Avenue, is currently 38  feet curb to curb.  ODOT proposes 5 foot bike lanes on each side, and 11 foot travel lanes, with the remaining space - approximately 6 feet, for on street parking.
