As it's sign suggests, Gather Round Farm in Ohio City is turning a parking lot that was probably contaminated with motor oil into a beautiful urban farm where proprietor Meghan Kresge grows fruits, veggies, herbs, flowers and sells eggs from her chickens.

In the syummer of 2006, the gardens were built over an asphalt lot with two feet of wood chips and leaves. Soil was later purchased and added to beds
