An essential part of a balanced transportation system
In our automobile culture, transit gets little respect, but it's a vital part of a healthy, sustainable city. In Northeast Ohio, cities haven't come close to realizing the promise of transit — especially at a time of rising gasoline costs when people need affordable transportation choices.
This section will tell the story of the region's transit challenges. What would you like to see?

rails-to-trails in NEO?
Marc Lefkowitz Says:Thanks for sharing that info, Ken, while we have you, do you know if any rails-to-trails opportunities exist in Northeast Ohio? I seem to recall one of the freight lines that runs through Bedford out to Solon was the subject of discussion for being converted to a bike trail. What are the opportunities for that to happen? Also, I was discussing a bike trail with my uncle who lives in Warren who says it's about a 70 mile straight trail from Champion to Geneva-on-the-Lake -- do you know if that was a rails-to-trails project?
