Cleveland City Planning Commission at the January 22, 2010 meeting approved the following resolution:
A Motion requesting that ODOT include in the bidders package for the Innerbelt Bridge design-build project that proposals include a multi-purpose access for bicyclists and pedestrians as an alternate bid item, with the understanding that ODOT will take no action that jeopardizes receipt of the federal “Stimulus” funds that have been allocated to the project.
Furthermore, that Planning Commission requests that appropriate ODOT staff participate in the February 5th meeting of the Commission to begin collaboration on the process for incorporating bicycle and pedestrian access to the proposed bridge.
