Urban Agriculture Youngstown

Youngstown submitted a grant to the USDA with a local organization, Common Wealth, Inc. for innovative urban agriculture efforts.

Local Food Systems  Website

A network building local and regional food systems in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.  A website for sharing information that was an outgrowth of a local food systems infrastructure workshop held at the Ohio Department of Agriculture in 2008.

Northeast Ohio Food Web

The Northeast Ohio Food Web is an information clearing house and virtual think tank for the Northeast Ohio Local Food Assessment and Plan. The Assessment began in April of 2010 when several partner organizations selected a national consultant team  to assess the state of Northeast Ohio's food system and make specific recommendations on how to significantly "re-localize" over coming years. The Assessment will culminate in November 2010 with a final report and presentation of findings.  The Cleveland Foundation has provided significant support.
