Cuyahoga County Department of Health: Place Matters Initiative and Health Equity
http://www.ccbh.net/ccbh/opencms/CCBH/services/communityhealth/Health_and_Land_Use_Initiative.html An effort by the Cuyahoga County Department of health to define and explain the connection between where we live and our health. The way our cities and towns are developed and the way our land is used contribute to the epidemic rates of chronic disease and impact the quality of life of our residents. The purpose of the 2009 Health and Land Use Summit was to explore partnership opportunities to promote the integration of health into land use planning and development county-wide.

This site is inspired by the memory of Richard Shatten, a former board member of EcoCity Cleveland,
