As part of the 2019 Green Building group, the 'retrofits' subgroup is working on the implementation of its goal: Retrofit 100% of Cleveland buildings for 50% energy reduction by 2019.

The subgroup has two working committees, 1) Implementation and 2) Goals and Metrics led by Paul Ettorre and Chuck Ackerman, respectively.

The subgroup was invited by Cleveland Sustainability Chief Andrew Watterson in February, 2010 to advise the city on its federal Stimulus $10 million Energy Efficiency Block Grant for its The Cleveland Energy$aver home energy improvement program.
