Riding a bike is a safe, fun and healthy way to get yourself from point A to B.
Get comfortable with the idea during "Bike to Work" Week, which starts on Monday, May 14th, 2007 sponsored nationally by the League of American Bicyclists and locally by ClevelandBikes.
Join up with Bike to Work ride leaders all week long—starting from various locations around the Cleveland area—for your morning commute downtown.
We meet for (free) coffee at AJ Rocco's, located at Huron Road near East 9th Street and Prospect Avenue. You can ride with us each day or any day that week.
The week also includes LIVESTRONG Day, on Wednesday, May 16, sponsored by the Lance Armstrong Foundation to raise awareness and support for cancer research, treatment and cures. We also hope you can join us for "Bike to Work" rides on the last Friday of every month, throughout the summer.
To view the complete schedule and your convenient start times and locations, visit the events page at the ClevelandBikes website. Email Brendan McNamara if you'd like to get more involved with Bike to Work events this summer!
This site is inspired by the memory of Richard Shatten, a former board member of EcoCity Cleveland,
who pushed Northeast Ohio to think strategically about regionalism and sustainability.
