Treadway Creek trail in ClevelandCleveland secured a Clean Ohio Green Space Conservation grant for $745,000 of the $1.1 million needed to restore the Treadway Creek Ravine, a tributary of the Cuyahoga River that runs along the south west side of the city (Old Brooklyn) to the Cuyahoga Valley. The work includes restoring the riparian corridor and adding public amenities such as a park and 2/3-mi. bike/multi-use path.

"This is the first piece of a Westside connection to the Towpath Trail," says Ohio Canal Corridor's Tim Donovan. "It's part of an evolving network of trails that will connect various communities to such important regional assets as Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, University Circle, and Edgewater Park."
