As much as Lake Erie, rivers shape the terrain of Northeast Ohio. They cut down through the glacial till and the layers of shale and sandstone to create vertical relief. They are also the veins of the region, conveying drinking water, nourishing our souls, and stimulating commerce.
This section will cover the rivers and streams of Northeast Ohio. Each river can have its own "book" with information about the river's natural history, how its being restored, what groups are working on it, and how citizens can get involved. Each river also can have its own photo gallery to showcase the beauty of the resource, as well as problems to be addressed.
You are invited to add content about the river you love.
