Scenic Ohio awards

Scenic Ohio, the organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the visual quality and scenic character of Ohio’s towns and countrysides, presented its first annual awards today to Beachwood, Bath, Worthington, and the Ohio Department of Transportation. Winning projects included:

  • Beachwood's new city park in the median of Shaker Boulevard, which features trails, wetlands, and ecological restoration.
  • Bath Township's conservation planning, heritage corridors, Town Hall restoration, roadside enhancements, and other projects to enhance scenic character.
  • Worthington's development master plan and design standards for improving and protecting its historic Village Green.
  • ODOT's context-sensitive designs for the Fleet and Grant avenue bridges over I-77.
