Revitalizing our post-industrial city

Marc Lefkowitz  |  09/12/06 @ 11:29am

Ronn Richard, Cleveland Foundation President and CEO, outlined his vision for how Cleveland can reverse years of decline and mark its return as a thriving urban center at the City Club last Friday.

Richard insists that, "For a post-industrial city to be revitalized, it has to have a comprehensive, long-term, strategic action plan — a plan with benchmarks and early, visible wins...the plan must be the entire city's game plan."

He offers five critical areas of focus. They include building off our manufacturing strengths and investing in the creation of an advanced energy industry. Cleveland Foundation and NorTech are working on a plan – you could be involved. Read the speech, and contribute your thoughts on a plan for an advanced energy industry.
