OSU Extension will offer two training courses in winter 2011 in community gardening and market gardening.Dig In! Community GardeningIn this nine week training program, participants will learn how to:?Locate and assess a good garden site? Organize a group of gardeners?Plan and design a garden to meettheir needs? Produce vegetables and fruit? Identify community resources? Access materials for their project? Increase neighborhood access tofresh produce*Classes will meet one evening a week starting the last week of JanuaryMarket GardeningIn this twelve week training program, participants will learn how to:? Develop a small business or agriculture based enterprise? Grow produce using techniquesthat create higher yields?Bring healthy produce to local markets in urban neighborhoods?
