CIA Industrial Design furniture -- and bike rack -- exhibit

Each year Industrial and Interior Design students in the junior class complete a furniture design project. This year the students were tasked with designing and developing a piece of furniture to solve a problem in a dormitory or small apartment. The pieces were to be flat-pack or knockdown for easy shipping and transport (think IKEA.) This year the students designs range from coffee and end tables, to innovative bike racks for small spaces.

The students will present their design process slideshows from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Gund 105B, then we will move upstairs to the Reinberger Gallery from 3 to 6 p.m.

Please direct any questions to Matt Beckwith at mbeckwith@cia.edu.
