Digging deeper into composting: A Sustainable Cleveland conversation
During the Year of Zero Waste, the Sustainable Cleveland Center will host several conversations on the topic of waste. The first conversation will be with Kathleen Rocco from the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District. Kathleen will discuss strategies and opportunities for residents and businesses to reduce their generation and waste of organic materials. Learn what can be composted in your backyard and at your organization. In Cleveland, 34% of our waste is made up of food scraps and yard waste – let’s work together to turn that waste into compost.
Joining the conversation will be Laura Einsel from the Cleveland Museum of Natural History with a “show and tell” on vermicomposting for the home or office. The event is free, but space is limited. RSVP requested.
