Shaping space: Innovative community design in Cleveland

Ingenuity Cleveland, the City of Shaker Heights, the Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative, the Dealership and PechaKucha Cleveland are partnering to present a neighborhood conversation on activating public spaces through play, creativity and community-engaged design.

The format will be "powered by Pecha Kucha" . . . a fast-paced discussion in which speakers share 20 slides for 20 seconds each. Hear from Architects and Landscape Architects, Open Space Programmers, Artists, Civic Leaders, and advocates for the importance of Play to the young and young at heart!

Our list of speakers is growing, but here are some of the featured presenters:

  • David Jurca | CUDC and "Making Our Own Spaces"
  • Jim McKnight | Landscape Architect, McKnight Associates and City of Cleveland
  • James Levin | Founder of CPT, Cleveland World Festival, FireFish Festival; co- founder Ingenuity Festival
